About Me
Dr. Srilaxmi Bearelly is a retina specialist who evaluates and treats age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vascular occlusions, choroidal neovascularization, and macular disorders. She brings extensive experience from her tenure on the Vitreoretinal Service at Duke University Eye Center and has been on the faculty at Columbia University since 2010. Dr. Bearelly has treated thousands of patients and also volunteered her medical expertise in underserved areas.
Dr. Bearelly completed her medical degree at Northwestern University Medical School, followed by ophthalmology training at Northwestern and a fellowship in diseases of the retina and vitreous at Duke University Eye Center. She also holds a Masters of Health Sciences from Duke University School of Medicine. Board certified in ophthalmology, she has authored over 70 articles and presentations and is an active member of several professional organizations including the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Retina Specialists.
