About Me
Dr. Stanley Chang is a specialist in vitreoretinal disorders and surgery at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. He has pioneered many surgical techniques used in the field and continues to provide patient care, research, and teaching. His expertise includes the management of complex retinal detachments and other vitreoretinal conditions.
Patients with conditions such as diabetic retinopathy, macular disorders, retinal detachment, and other retinal diseases can benefit from Dr. Chang's extensive experience. He has developed innovative surgical approaches, including the use of perfluoropropane gas and perfluorocarbon liquids, to improve outcomes for patients worldwide. Dr. Chang remains an active member of the faculty at the Edward S. Harkness Eye Institute, where he treats patients and advances the field through research.
