About Me
Dr. Douglas Mehr is a retina specialist at Salt Lake Retina, where he treats a wide range of conditions affecting the retina and vitreous. He received his medical degree from the Chicago Medical School and completed his ophthalmology residency at St. Louis University, followed by a retina surgery fellowship at the University of Kentucky.
Dr. Mehr's clinical focus includes diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, retinal detachments, eye trauma, uveitis, and other surgical diseases of the retina. He is experienced in managing both medical and surgical aspects of retinal care.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Mehr has been involved in humanitarian medical missions, teaching and training ophthalmologists in several countries around the world.
