About Me
Dr. Christopher J. Gee is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in retina and vitreous conditions. He earned his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine after completing a degree in American Studies at Brigham Young University.
His training includes an Internal Medicine internship, ophthalmology residency, and chief residency at Wake Forest University, where he received the J. Bryan Sloan III Award for research in ocular melanomas. He further specialized with a vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at the Jules Stein Eye Institute of UCLA, serving as a Clinical Instructor. Dr. Gee has been involved in research on eye tumors, diabetic disease, Age-Related Macular Degeneration, surgical techniques, and eye trauma associated with disasters, presenting his findings at national meetings and publishing in prestigious journals. He holds memberships in the American Society of Retina Specialists, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Utah Ophthalmology Society, and the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology.
Outside of his professional life, Dr. Gee enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and five boys, participating in activities such as Scouting, downhill skiing, cycling, and camping.
