Dr. Douglas Williams Md

Dr. Douglas P. Williams is a board-certified ophthalmologist who has been practicing since July 1987 at the Williams Eye Institute. Throughout his career, he has performed thousands of small incision cataract procedures with lens implantation, specializing in comprehensive eye care.

He earned his undergraduate degree with honors (cum laude/Phi Beta Kappa) from the University of Illinois and his Doctor of Medicine with honors (Alpha Omega Alpha) from the University of Chicago. He completed an internship at Mercy Hospital in San Diego, California, followed by a residency in ophthalmology at the University of Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary in Chicago. Dr. Williams is a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He treats a wide range of eye conditions and provides surgical and medical care for patients in the Crown Point and Merrillville areas.
