About Me
Dr. Dorothy Hendricks is a pediatric ophthalmologist who has dedicated over 16 years to caring for children at Nemours Children's Health. She finds great satisfaction in watching her young patients grow and in making meaningful improvements to their vision. Dr. Hendricks believes that even minor enhancements in a child's eyesight can lead to significant benefits in their emotional, psychological, and social lives, and she is passionate about helping children overcome visual limitations.
As part of a multidisciplinary team, Dr. Hendricks emphasizes holistic care, treating the whole child rather than just the eye condition. She follows her patients from birth through adulthood, aiming to optimize both their visual acuity and overall health. This long-term approach allows her to support children in thriving and achieving their full potential in whatever endeavors they pursue.
