About Me
Dr. Don Nguyen is a board-certified ophthalmologist and fellowship-trained glaucoma specialist originally from Edmond, Oklahoma. He completed both his undergraduate and medical education at the University of Oklahoma, after being a valedictorian at Edmond Santa Fe High School. His ophthalmology training includes a residency at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center in San Antonio and a fellowship in glaucoma at the prestigious Byers Eye Institute at Stanford.
Dr. Nguyen is equipped to manage all forms of glaucoma through medication, laser therapy, and surgical options, and he also performs cataract surgery to restore vision. He values building personal connections with his patients and customizes each treatment plan according to their unique needs. He is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Glaucoma Society.
Specializing in minimally invasive glaucoma surgery, Dr. Nguyen is adept at distinguishing high myopia from glaucoma using advanced imaging techniques for earlier detection and tailored treatment. Outside of work, he enjoys family time, exploring new dining experiences, and cheering for local sports teams.
