About Me
Dr. David Strickland is an ophthalmologist at Middletown Eye Care in Louisville, Kentucky. He completed his undergraduate studies at The Johns Hopkins University and earned his medical degree from The University of Louisville School of Medicine. Dr. Strickland then served in the United States Naval Service, completing an internship and residency in Ophthalmology at the Naval Medical Center San Diego. He went on to serve as a staff physician and department head of Ophthalmology and Refractive Surgery at Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune, providing care to active-duty service members, dependents, and retirees. He separated from the Navy with the rank of Lieutenant Commander.
Dr. Strickland is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He specializes in comprehensive ophthalmology and refractive surgery, including LASIK and PRK. He is experienced in managing conditions such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic eye disease, and he is committed to using advanced technology to preserve and enhance his patients' vision.
In his free time, Dr. Strickland enjoys spending time with his wife and three daughters.
