About Me
Dr. David Gendelman is a board-certified ophthalmologist who offers expert care for a wide range of eye conditions, including cataracts, diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, and retinal disorders. With extensive experience performing thousands of surgeries, Dr. Gendelman specializes in cataract surgery, retinal detachment repair, and laser treatments for diabetic retinopathy and glaucoma. He also provides intravitreal injections for conditions such as macular degeneration and retinal vein occlusions.
Dr. Gendelman completed a fellowship in retina and vitreous surgery at Massachusetts Eye & Ear Infirmary, where he later served on the faculty, teaching residents and fellows. He is a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons and the Massachusetts Medical Society. In addition to his clinical practice, he has participated in pharmacological research studies focused on glaucoma and dry eye, and has contributed to community vision screenings with the Lions Club and the Eye Care America project.
