Dr. Jorge Arroyo

Dr. Jorge G. Arroyo is an ophthalmologist at Boston Vision specializing in vitreoretinal diseases and surgery. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of California, San Francisco, and a vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at Duke University Eye Center. Dr. Arroyo previously served for over 20 years at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Harvard Medical School before joining Boston Vision.

Board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, Dr. Arroyo has extensive experience treating conditions such as macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vein occlusion, vitreomacular traction syndrome, and retinal detachment. He has published over 60 peer-reviewed articles on these topics and is the author of two topics on UpToDate. Dr. Arroyo is a member of several professional societies and the immediate past president of the New England Ophthalmological Society. He sees patients in the Brookline and Wellesley offices.
