About Me
Dr. David Chu is an ophthalmologist specializing in corneal diseases and surgery, with particular expertise in inflammatory and immunologic eye conditions. He is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Ophthalmology at UMDNJ – New Jersey Medical School and practices at the Cornea and Laser Eye Institute in Teaneck, New Jersey.
Dr. Chu cares for patients with a range of corneal problems and complex ocular conditions, including uveitis, scleritis, and ocular pemphigoid. He has extensive experience in managing ocular inflammatory diseases with chemotherapeutic agents and is skilled in advanced corneal transplant procedures such as DSAEK and amniotic membrane transplantation.
His research focuses on corneal wound healing and novel therapies for ocular inflammation, contributing to the development of new treatment techniques.
