About Me
Dr. Danielle Strauss is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in the medical and surgical treatment of diseases affecting the retina and vitreous. She has been recognized as a Top Doctor by NJ Monthly Magazine in 2020, 2021, and 2022.
Dr. Strauss graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor’s degree in English. She earned her medical degree from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine through its Humanities in Medicine program, graduating with distinction for her research in ophthalmology. She completed her ophthalmology residency and surgical training at New York University Medical Center and the Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital, followed by an advanced fellowship in vitreo-retinal surgery at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai, where she received a research award for the most outstanding project completed by a fellow.
As a national speaker and published author, Dr. Strauss has presented her work at the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Retinal Specialists, Ocular Surgery News: Retina, and the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology. She is a member of the American Society of Retinal Specialists and the American Academy of Ophthalmology. She is an attending physician at New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai and Clara Maass Medical Center.
