About Me
Dr. Daniel P. Lee is a fellowship-trained cornea, external disease and refractive surgery specialist at Gaston Eye Associates in Gastonia. He helps adults achieve clearer, more comfortable vision with individualized options that range from advanced cataract surgery using modern lens implants to laser vision correction. When glasses or contacts aren’t the best fit, he also offers implantable collamer lenses for the right candidates. In addition, Dr. Lee evaluates and treats a full spectrum of corneal surface and external eye conditions, partnering closely with the clinic’s optometry and surgical teams.
Dr. Lee completed an ophthalmology residency at Beaumont Health in Michigan followed by subspecialty fellowship training in Cornea, External Disease and Refractive Surgery at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. He earned his DO from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine after an MS in Physiology at New York Medical College and a BA in Biology from Cornell University. Patients value his clear explanations, attention to detail and a practical, goal-oriented approach to choosing the safest, most effective procedure for their needs.
