Meet Dr. Jeffrey Ryan Stetler

Dr. Jeff Stetler is a fellowship-trained cornea specialist who cares for adults with a wide range of medical and surgical eye conditions in Charlotte. He provides comprehensive eye exams and routine eye care as well as advanced treatment for cornea and external disease, diabetic eye problems, and dry eye. He also performs cataract surgery and refractive procedures, helping patients reduce dependence on glasses and contacts when appropriate.

Dr. Stetler completed his undergraduate studies in biology at Emory University before earning his medical degree from UT Southwestern Medical School. He went on to ophthalmology residency at the University of Missouri – Kansas City, where he served as chief resident, followed by a fellowship in cornea, external disease, and refractive surgery at the University of Missouri. Board-certified in ophthalmology, he enjoys working with patients to explain diagnoses in clear language and partner on a treatment plan that fits their goals and lifestyle.
