About Me
Dr. Daniel F. Goodman is a corneal and refractive surgery specialist, focusing on LASIK and advanced vision correction procedures. He serves as an Associate Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine and at California Pacific Medical Center. Previously, he was the Medical Director at the Stanford Laser Vision Correction Center in San Francisco. Dr. Goodman has been recognized as one of the “Best Doctors in the Bay Area” and “Best Doctors in America” by his peers.
He completed his ophthalmology residency at UCSF and a cornea and external disease fellowship at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Dr. Goodman specializes in refractive surgery, including laser vision correction, corneal transplantation, and complex cataract and lens implant surgery. He personally performs all surgical procedures in his private practice and has trained many other ophthalmologists in these techniques. His research and lectures have contributed to the field of ophthalmic surgery.
Beyond his clinical work, Dr. Goodman is the team ophthalmologist for the San Francisco Giants and the San Francisco Opera. He is also a volunteer ophthalmologist at the San Francisco Free Clinic and San Francisco General Hospital.
