Dr. Cuong Vu

Dr. Cuong D. Vu is a retina specialist and vitreoretinal surgeon with nearly 20 years of experience. He is dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered care and believes in the importance of the doctor-patient relationship. Dr. Vu treats a wide range of retinal conditions, including age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vein occlusion, and retinal detachment. He specializes in minimally invasive vitreoretinal surgery and uses advanced retinal imaging to diagnose and manage retinal disorders. Having served as a principal investigator for clinical trials, Dr. Vu stays at the forefront of retinal research and treatment.

A graduate of the University of Chicago, Dr. Vu earned his medical degree from Penn State University School of Medicine. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Virginia, where he served as chief resident, and a fellowship in medical and surgical retina at the University of Texas Southwestern. Dr. Vu is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is fluent in Vietnamese.
