About Me
Dr. Cristoforo Larzo is a board-certified ophthalmologist and vitreoretinal specialist who provides care for patients with retinal conditions across the Tri-Cities region of Tennessee and Virginia. He treats a range of retinal diseases, including retinal detachment, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, vitreous hemorrhage, and macular hole.
Before joining Southeastern Retina Associates in 2011, Dr. Larzo held academic roles as director of vitreoretinal service and fellowship and assistant professor of vitreoretinal surgery at West Virginia University Eye Institute. He also served as a consultant at the Louis A. Johnson Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Dr. Larzo has a research background in gene therapy for childhood blindness.
Dr. Larzo earned his medical degree from West Virginia University School of Medicine in 2001 and completed advanced training in vitreoretinal disease and surgery at the same institution. He is dedicated to providing expert retinal care to his patients.
