About Me
Dr. Clifton Fay, Jr. is a board-certified ophthalmologist and cataract surgeon with Berg Eye Group. He provides comprehensive eye care with a focus on modern cataract surgery and advanced lens options designed to help patients reach their best possible vision.
Dr. Fay’s clinical interests include minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS), advanced intraocular lens technologies, and complex cataract and anterior segment surgery. He combines careful surgical planning with patient-centered communication, helping patients understand what to expect before, during, and after treatment.
He earned a degree in biology from the University of Georgia and received his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia. Dr. Fay completed ophthalmology residency training at the Dean McGee Eye Institute at the University of Oklahoma in Oklahoma City. He joined Berg Eye Group in 2017 and serves as Chief of Ophthalmology for Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.
