Dr. Joshua Newton

Dr. Josh Newton is an ophthalmologist who has been serving patients at Moultrie Eye Center since 2009. A native of Southwest Georgia, he completed his medical education at the Medical College of Georgia and then went on to complete his residency in Ophthalmology at the University of Virginia.

In his practice, Dr. Newton provides comprehensive ophthalmology care. This includes treating pediatric patients, managing glaucoma and external diseases, and addressing conditions of the medical retina. He also performs oculoplastics procedures, evaluates neuro-ophthalmology conditions, and conducts cataract surgery.

Dr. Newton is happily settled back in Moultrie, Georgia, with his wife Alex and their two children. He is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
