About Me
Dr. Amanda Matthews is a board-certified ophthalmologist and a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, providing a wide range of eye care services to patients in the Tallahassee area. She specializes in advanced cataract surgery techniques, including no-stitch, no-patch procedures and premium intraocular lens technology, and excels in minimally invasive glaucoma surgery. Her expertise also includes managing external ocular conditions, conjunctival and orbital lesions, diabetes-related eye care, macular degeneration, and performing intravitreal injections.
Dr. Matthews completed her ophthalmology training at the world-famous Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia, where she was chief resident and a contributing author to the Wills Eye Manual. She earned her medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia, graduating with honors, and completed her undergraduate studies summa cum laude.
