About Me
Dr. John T. Bell is a board-certified ophthalmologist who has been practicing since completing his residency in 1985. He earned his medical degree from The Medical College of Georgia and then completed his Medical Ophthalmology residency at the same institution.
Dr. Bell specializes in cataract surgery and advanced glaucoma treatment, including shunting, filtering, and endoscopic laser therapy. He also performs selective laser treatments for early- to medium-stage glaucoma to reduce dependency on topical medications. Additionally, he manages complicated and recurrent pterygium using the P.E.R.F.E.C.T. procedure and has interests in advanced dry eye care and medical/laser treatment for diabetic eye disease.
He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and has practiced in West Virginia and Florida, now residing in Tallahassee.
