Dr. Clayton Pennington

Clayton “Clay” Pennington, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist who provides surgical and medical eye care for adults. He specializes in cataract surgery and refractive surgery, and he also diagnoses and treats common eye conditions that can affect long-term vision and comfort.

Patients often see Dr. Pennington for concerns such as glaucoma, dry eye disease, keratoconus, and diabetic retinopathy. He completed undergraduate studies in biological sciences and chemistry at Louisiana State University and earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia. After medical school, he trained in New York City at Mount Sinai/New York Eye and Ear for ophthalmology training. He focuses on clear communication and making sure patients feel comfortable and well informed at each step of their care.
