About Me
Dr. David Bogorad is a comprehensive ophthalmologist and refractive surgeon who serves as the Director of Refractive Surgery at the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University. He has a long-standing interest in surgery of the anterior segment of the eye, with a practice focused on cataract, corneal, and refractive surgery. Dr. Bogorad has performed thousands of cataract extractions with intraocular lens implants and over 5,000 LASIK procedures. He is also experienced in corneal transplantation, RK and PRK surgery, INTACS, and epikeratophakia.
Dr. Bogorad is a professor of ophthalmology and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He has served as a past president of the Georgia Society of Ophthalmology and continues to chair its foundation. His clinical expertise includes managing cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, and dry eyes, and he provides advanced laser vision correction procedures to reduce dependence on glasses or contact lenses.
