About Me
Dr. Chloe Li is a vitreoretinal surgery fellow at the University of Illinois Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences. She completed medical school at Harvard Medical School and a residency in ophthalmology at the Harkness Eye Institute of Columbia University Irving Medical Center. Before residency, she earned a master’s degree in Bioethics and Medical Humanities at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.
In clinic and the operating room, Dr. Li cares for patients with medical and surgical retina conditions, including diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, retinal tears and detachments, macular holes and epiretinal membranes, and retinal vascular occlusions. She combines evidence-based decision-making with a friendly, accessible style so patients understand their options—whether that involves imaging and monitoring, office-based injections or laser, or surgery—always aligning treatment with each person’s goals for vision and daily life.
