Dr. Casey Smith is a pediatric ophthalmologist who cares for infants, children, and teens with a wide range of eye conditions. Her clinical interests include pediatric keratoconus, eye disease in children with Down syndrome, visual sequelae of brain tumors, and pediatric eye trauma. Families value her friendly, collaborative style and the way she tailors care plans to each child’s needs. Dr. Smith completed fellowship training in pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus after residency in ophthalmology and medical school at the University of Tennessee. She also participates in multi-center research as a PEDIG investigator and enjoys educating families about their condition, treatment options, and expected outcomes.
