About Me
John P. Gorham, MD, is a pediatric ophthalmologist who cares for children with strabismus, amblyopia, refractive errors, and other eye conditions, and also treats adult strabismus. He uses adjustable sutures when appropriate to improve outcomes in complex cases and partners with families to build care plans that are clear, manageable, and centered on the child’s daily life at school, play, and home.
Dr. Gorham trained at Emory University for medical school, internship, and residency before completing fellowship training at the University of Michigan. In addition to surgical care, he manages nasolacrimal duct obstruction, screens for retinopathy of prematurity, and offers practical guidance for glasses and patching therapy. Families appreciate his approachable style, careful measurements, and emphasis on teamwork to support the best long-term visual development.
