Meet Dr. Bruce Altman
About Me
Dr. Altman is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma and cataracts. He offers advanced surgical options including laser-assisted cataract surgery and minimally invasive glaucoma surgery. As part of Connecticut Eye Consultants, Dr. Altman has participated in research studies that contributed to the FDA approval of the Durysta implant, providing patients with an alternative to daily eyedrops for glaucoma management.
With nearly 30 years of practice at Connecticut Eye, Dr. Altman emphasizes a team-oriented approach to patient care. He values building long-term relationships with his patients and educating them about their treatment options.
Dr. Altman completed his medical degree at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and underwent residency training at Hahnemann University Hospital, followed by a glaucoma fellowship at Washington University School of Medicine. He sees patients at the Danbury office.
