Dr. Brooke Nesmith

Dr. Brooke L.W. Nesmith is a board-certified, fellowship-trained vitreo-retinal specialist. She evaluates and treats complex retinal conditions using advanced diagnostic testing, and she provides both medical and surgical care for diseases affecting the retina and vitreous.

Dr. Nesmith received her medical degree from the University of Kansas and completed an ophthalmology residency at the University of Louisville. She then pursued additional subspecialty training through a vitreoretinal diseases and surgery fellowship at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, where she was trained in state-of-the-art diagnostic approaches for complex retinal disease and in advanced vitreoretinal procedures and surgeries. Dr. Nesmith joined Vitreo-Retinal Consultants and Surgeons in 2017. She has authored publications and presented her work at national conferences, and she is committed to helping patients understand their condition and their options for protecting vision.
