Dr. Brian Au

Dr. Brian C. Au is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in cataract and corneal surgery. He joined Eye Physicians of North Houston in 2011, bringing experience from his private practice in Tucson, Arizona. His expertise includes performing advanced cataract surgery with premium intraocular lens implants, pterygium removal, complex anterior segment reconstruction, and corneal transplant procedures such as DSAEK.

Dr. Au completed his cornea and refractive surgery fellowship at Virginia Commonwealth University, focusing on cornea and external diseases. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, Texas Medical Association, and Harris County Medical Society.

Born in Evanston, Illinois, Dr. Au spent part of his childhood in Hong Kong and Taiwan. He completed his undergraduate degree at Northwestern University and earned his medical degree at Boston University. His ophthalmology residency was completed at UTMB in Galveston, where he served as co-chief resident.
