About Me
Dr. David Tremblay is a board-certified ophthalmologist who brings a wealth of experience and vision care services to patients. He specializes in advanced corneal, cataract and refractive surgery procedures, as well as the diagnosis and care of patients with diabetes, macular degeneration, dry eye and glaucoma. Dr. Tremblay is committed to providing comprehensive eye care with expertise in these complex conditions.
Born in San Antonio and raised in Fort Worth, Texas, Dr. Tremblay earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin and his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He completed his internship in General Surgery at the Medical University of South Carolina, his residency in Ophthalmology at the Storm Eye Institute in Charleston, SC, and a fellowship in Cornea, External Disease and Refractive Surgery. This extensive training equips him to handle a wide range of surgical and medical eye needs.
Dr. Tremblay is active in the ophthalmic community, serving on several committees of various ophthalmologic societies. He is the medical director of the Miracles in Sight Eye Bank and serves on multiple boards of the Eye Bank Association of America. Additionally, he volunteers as a surgeon for Operation Sight, an organization that offers cataract surgery to those without the means to afford it. In his personal time, he enjoys running, playing and producing music, golfing, fishing, and spending time with his wife and two daughters. Dr. Tremblay is fluent in Spanish.
