Dr. Brian Joondeph

Dr. Brian Joondeph is a retina specialist and surgeon who completed his retina surgery training in 1990 and has since worked in both private practice and full-time academic ophthalmology. He practiced in Michigan for ten years before living and working in Auckland, New Zealand for several years, and has been based in Denver for the past 15 years. His approach to ophthalmology combines high-tech medicine and surgery, with a focus on saving and restoring eyesight.

Dr. Joondeph has over 80 academic publications and is active in multiple clinical trials, which he sees as a way to link scientific inquiry with new treatments for his patients. He also serves as an examiner for the American Board of Ophthalmology, helping to train the next generation of ophthalmologists. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, skiing, and traveling.
