About Me
Dr. Mark E. Patron is a board-certified ophthalmologist and retina surgeon who practices at Mile High Retina's main location in Denver, Colorado. He founded this practice in 2020 after relocating to Denver in 2012 and gaining experience with a group practice. Dr. Patron specializes in the medical and surgical treatment of retinal diseases, bringing advanced training and a focused approach to eye care.
He is a highly-trained vitreoretinal surgeon who treats a wide variety of eye conditions, including retinal tears, retinal detachments, and age-related macular degeneration. Dr. Patron takes a special interest in diabetic retinopathy, particularly the surgical repair of complex diabetic tractional retinal detachments. He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Retina Specialists.
Dr. Patron earned his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine, where he graduated at the top of his class. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the New England Eye Center at Tufts Medical Center, followed by a two-year surgical retina fellowship at a combined program involving the Retina Group of Washington, Georgetown University Hospital, and Washington Hospital Center.
