About Me
Dr. Braedon Murdock is an experienced ophthalmologist at Rocky Mountain Eye Care, dedicated to providing comprehensive eye care. He completed his undergraduate studies in Biology and Chemistry at the University of Utah, then pursued his medical degree at George Washington University in Washington, D.C., where he developed a strong interest in ophthalmology. Dr. Murdock remained at George Washington University to complete his medical internship and ophthalmology residency, gaining extensive training in eye care.
Born and raised in Sandy, Utah, Dr. Murdock has deep roots in the community. He is family-oriented, with a wife who is a nurse and four children, and enjoys spending time with them hiking, traveling, and playing board games. Outside of medicine, he is passionate about competitive sports, particularly pickle ball, and has an interest in medical innovation, having contributed to ophthalmic product development during his residency.
Dr. Murdock has received several honors, including the Volunteer Merit Scholarship, nomination for the Outstanding Undergraduate Researcher Award, Chief Resident in Ophthalmology, and the Mervin Zimmerman Award for Excellence. He is an active member of professional organizations such as the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and the American Medical Association, and his research has been published in peer-reviewed journals on topics like ophthalmic surgery training and biometry.
