About Me
Dr. Bethany Karwoski is a board-certified, fellowship-trained pediatric ophthalmologist who specializes in the care and treatment of children's medical eye conditions. Her clinical interests include pediatric strabismus and surgery, amblyopia treatment, nasolacrimal duct obstruction treatment, and retinopathy of prematurity.
Dr. Karwoski earned her medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine, completed her residency at New York University and Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital, and undertook a fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology at Children's National Medical Center in Washington, D.C. She holds an academic appointment as Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology and Pediatrics at George Washington University.
A native of Maryland, Dr. Karwoski is a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology and maintains active membership in the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus. Her dedication to pediatric eye care has been recognized with the Virginia Magazine Top Doctor Award.
