Dr. Benjamin Abramowitz

Dr. Patrick Kaszubski is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in glaucoma, cataract, and anterior segment surgery. He cares for the full spectrum of glaucoma—from early disease to complex, advanced cases—using medical therapy, laser treatments, and a broad range of surgical options including MIGS. He also performs routine and complex cataract surgery and helps patients choose lens options that match their visual goals. Dr. Kaszubski completed ophthalmology residency at Baylor College of Medicine and advanced fellowship training in Glaucoma and Advanced Anterior Segment Surgery at the University of Toronto with Dr. Ike Ahmed. He received his MD and a master’s in clinical investigation at New York University and previously served as an NIH research fellow. Dr. Julia "Michelle" White is a board-certified ophthalmologist who cares for adults with glaucoma and a wide range of general eye conditions. After medical school at Georgetown University, she completed ophthalmology residency at VCU Health and advanced fellowship training in glaucoma at the University of Alabama at Birmingham’s Callahan Eye Hospital. Dr. White offers the full spectrum of glaucoma care—from medicines and laser therapies to traditional operations and newer minimally invasive glaucoma surgeries (MIGS). She also provides comprehensive services such as cataract evaluation and surgery as well as ongoing care for diabetes-related eye disease and macular degeneration. Patients value Dr. White’s calm explanations, attention to detail, and long-term partnership approach to protecting vision. Guided by Georgetown’s cura personalis ("care of the whole person"), she tailors each plan to a patient’s goals and lifestyle. Dr. Elleny Gutierrez is a board-certified ophthalmologist and glaucoma specialist who provides comprehensive eye care for adults in Coastal Virginia. She cares for patients with a wide range of vision needs, from routine eye exams and cataract evaluation to medical and surgical treatment of glaucoma. Having completed residency and glaucoma fellowship training, she offers both traditional and advanced approaches tailored to each person’s diagnosis and lifestyle. Dr. Gutierrez graduated from Columbia University with a degree in Evolutionary Biology of the Human Species, then completed her medical degree and ophthalmology residency at Louisiana State University Health. She went on to complete a glaucoma fellowship at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, where she gained additional expertise in treating complex and advanced disease. Fluent in Spanish, she welcomes Spanish-speaking patients and families. Outside of clinic, she enjoys spending time with her husband and Australian Shepherd, reading, knitting, and exploring the outdoor activities and local restaurants around Virginia Beach as her new home.
