About Me

Dr. A. Ebru Toker is a cornea and external disease ophthalmologist at the WVU Eye Institute. She cares for patients with complex corneal infections, degenerations, and dystrophies, and treats conditions such as keratoconus, dry eye disease, and allergic eye disease. In addition to medical management, she performs cataract surgery and pterygium excisions, tailoring each plan to the patient’s symptoms, lifestyle, and goals. Patients value her thoughtful explanations and steady, compassionate manner in the clinic and operating room.

Dr. Toker completed her ophthalmology residency at Marmara University Medical School in Turkey, where she also earned her medical degree. She later pursued specialized training in cornea and external diseases at Erlangen University Medical School in Germany. Since joining West Virginia University in 2022, she has served as a research associate professor, bringing both academic insight and practical experience to patient care.
