About Me

Arif O. Khan, MD, is a pediatric ophthalmologist and neuro-ophthalmologist who cares for children with eye misalignment, vision development problems, and complex genetic eye conditions. As Section Head of Pediatric and Neuro-ophthalmology at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, he combines deep surgical experience with expertise in ocular genetics to diagnose precisely and tailor treatment for each child. Dr. Khan manages strabismus (crossed or drifting eyes), pediatric cataract, retinal dystrophies, nystagmus and other eye-movement disorders, and neuro-ophthalmic problems such as cranial nerve palsies. Families value his clear communication and thoughtful guidance from first visit through surgery and follow-up. His training includes ophthalmology residency at Mount Sinai in New York and a fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.
