About Me
Dr. Aparna A. Shah is a board-certified cornea, cataract, and refractive surgeon with Bennett & Bloom Eye Centers. She partners with patients to restore and protect vision, from cataract evaluation and surgery to advanced care for corneal and inflammatory eye conditions.
Dr. Shah earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and completed medical school at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. She then completed internship and ophthalmology residency training at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan. She pursued subspecialty fellowship training at the Cleveland Clinic Cole Eye Institute in Cornea, External Disease, and Refractive Surgery, where she trained in modern corneal transplant and laser vision correction techniques, including DMEK, DSAEK, PKP, LASIK, and PRK.
She has presented research at national ophthalmology meetings and received the Best Fellow Research Paper and Presentation Award for her work on innovative DMEK techniques.
