Dr. Ann Kasten

Dr. Ann G. Kasten Aker is a co-founder and surgeon at Aker Kasten Eye Center in Boca Raton, Florida. She specializes in the treatment of glaucoma, dry eye, and laser cataract surgery. With the arrival of Laser Cataract Surgery, she directs all operations of the Femtosecond Laser for cataract procedures.

After completing her undergraduate education at Cornell University and medical degree at SUNY Upstate Medical University, Dr. Kasten Aker completed her residency at Long Island Jewish Medical Center and Manhattan Eye and Ear Hospital with a focus on ocular pathology. In 1984, she moved to South Florida and co-founded the Aker Kasten Eye Center.

Dr. Kasten Aker is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a charter member of the American College of Eye Surgeons. She has guest lectured at various ophthalmology meetings alongside her husband, Dr. Alan Aker.
