Dr. Andrew Sumnicht is a board-certified ophthalmologist providing comprehensive medical and surgical eye care in Edmonds, Washington. With extensive experience performing over 1,500 cataract and refractive lens exchange procedures, he offers advanced treatment options for vision restoration, including minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (iStent and canaloplasty). His clinical expertise spans cataract surgery, glaucoma management, macular degeneration, dry eye disease, uveitis, and oculoplastic procedures. Dr. Sumnicht is particularly dedicated to enhancing vision through cataract surgery and advanced lens implant technology, ensuring personalized care for each patient.

Dr. Sumnicht discovered the Pacific Northwest while attending Whitworth University in Spokane and went on to complete his medical degree and ophthalmology residency at Loma Linda University in Southern California. He moved to Edmonds in 2022 with his family and is fluent in both English and Spanish. Outside of the clinic, he enjoys training for triathlons and marathons, cooking, and exploring the outdoors with his family.
