Meet Dr. Amr Dessouki
About Me
Dr. Amr Dessouki is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in the medical and surgical treatment of the retina, macula, and vitreous. He serves as the Director of Research at the Retinal Diagnostic Center and is the principal investigator for several multicenter clinical trials on macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vascular diseases, and other retinal conditions. His clinical practice focuses on the diagnosis and management of a wide range of retinal disorders, including age-related macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, retinal vein occlusion, and vitreous disorders.
Dr. Dessouki also lectures periodically and has published research in peer-reviewed journals. In addition to his clinical work, he holds a position as Assistant Clinical Professor at Stanford University, where he teaches residents and medical students. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Retina Specialists.
