About Me
Dr. Allison Soneru is a glaucoma specialist at Massachusetts Eye and Ear who focuses on protecting vision through careful diagnosis, long-term monitoring, and individualized treatment plans. She treats a wide range of glaucoma conditions and offers both medical therapy and surgical options—including minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS) and other glaucoma procedures—as well as cataract surgery when it can help improve sight and support eye-pressure control.
Dr. Soneru trained in ophthalmology at Northwestern University and completed fellowship training in glaucoma at the New England Eye Center at Tufts University. She also serves as Associate Fellowship Director for the Anterior Segment Fellowship, where she helps train the next generation of eye surgeons.
Patients value her clear explanations and practical, step-by-step guidance. She is committed to compassionate, evidence-based care and has participated in global efforts to expand access to eye training and treatment.
