About Me
Dr. Allison Jensen is a board-certified ophthalmologist and the Director of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus at the Eye Center at GBMC. She provides comprehensive eye care for children and adolescents, treating conditions such as amblyopia (lazy eye), strabismus (eye misalignment), lacrimal (tear duct) disorders, and retinopathy of prematurity. Dr. Jensen is involved in clinical research as a principal investigator with the Pediatric Eye Disease Investigator Group, studying eye disorders that affect children.
In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Jensen serves as a consultant for the Maryland School for the Blind and holds a faculty appointment as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Maryland. She completed her medical training at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, followed by residency at Northwestern University and a fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus.
At the Eye Center at GBMC, she works with families to address their child's vision concerns and ensure proper eye health. Her approach focuses on early detection and treatment of childhood eye problems.
