Dr. Jana Friedman

Dr. Jana Friedman is a pediatric ophthalmologist and strabismus specialist at the Eye Center at GBMC. She provides comprehensive eye care for pediatric and adolescent patients, with specific interests in amblyopia (lazy eye), strabismus (misaligned eyes), tear duct disorders, eyelid disorders, pediatric glaucoma, and pediatric cataracts. Dr. Friedman also offers specialized eye care for adult patients with strabismus.

Dr. Friedman earned her medical degree from Vanderbilt University and completed her residency in Ophthalmology at the University of Maryland, where she served as Chief Resident. She then completed a fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Adult Strabismus at Children's National Hospital in Washington, DC, focusing her expertise on the unique eye care needs of children and adults with complex eye alignment issues.
