About Me
Dr. Alla Goldberg is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in uveitis and vitreoretinal surgery. With over a decade of clinical experience, she is one of the few ophthalmologists in Georgia fellowship-trained in both retina and uveitis. Dr. Goldberg treats a wide range of retinal and inflammatory conditions, including macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachments, and vascular diseases such as vein and artery occlusions. She is skilled in complex retinal surgery for conditions like diabetic detachments, trauma, and recurrent retinal detachments, as well as macular surgery for holes and membranes.
Dr. Goldberg is committed to patient education, ensuring that individuals understand their condition and available treatment options. She has a particular interest in ocular inflammatory diseases, managing conditions such as infectious and non-infectious uveitis, retinitis, scleritis, vasculitis, and orbital inflammatory disease in both adults and children.
Previously, Dr. Goldberg practiced at the University of Texas at Houston, where she established a uveitis curriculum for residents. She now sees patients in private practice in the Atlanta area. Dr. Goldberg is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Retinal Specialists, and the American Uveitis Society.
