About Me
Dr. Steven I. Leff is a board-certified ophthalmologist and retina specialist with over 30 years of experience in treating vitreoretinal and macular diseases. He joined the Woolfson Eye Institute in 2012 and sees patients at multiple locations in the Atlanta area, including Atlanta, Cumming, Lawrenceville, and College Park. Dr. Leff is on staff at Northside Hospital and St. Joseph's Hospital.
Dr. Leff completed his medical education at the University of Western Ontario, followed by an internship at McGill University and an ophthalmology residency at the University of British Columbia. He then pursued a two-year fellowship in vitreoretinal disorders at Baylor University School of Medicine, training under the renowned Dr. Alice MacPherson. This specialized training allows him to offer advanced medical and surgical treatments for complex retinal conditions.
He is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and a diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology. Dr. Leff is a frequent speaker at ophthalmic conferences and is highly regarded by his peers for his expertise and patient-centered approach. He is committed to providing personalized care for conditions such as macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and retinal detachments.
