Meet Dr. Sean S Koh

Dr. Sean Koh is a board-certified ophthalmologist and retina specialist at Georgia Retina, serving patients in the Cumming, Gwinnett (Lawrenceville), and Chamblee areas. He specializes in diagnosing and treating a wide range of retinal conditions, including age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, macular holes, macular pucker, retinal detachment, retinopathy of prematurity, tumors of the eye, and uveitis. Dr. Koh is dedicated to preserving and restoring vision, and he finds great reward in making a lasting impact on his patients' lives.

Dr. Koh completed his undergraduate studies at SUNY at Stony Brook and earned his medical degree from SUNY Downstate Medical Center, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. He went on to complete an internal medicine internship at Winthrop University Hospital, an ophthalmology residency at Boston University Medical Center, and a two-year vitreoretinal fellowship at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary at Harvard Medical School. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Koh has participated in research, authored articles and chapters, and taught medical students and residents. He is fluent in Korean and actively engages with the community through health seminars and radio programs.
