Dr. Alexander Hatsis

Dr. Alexander Hatsis is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in complicated cataracts and laser vision correction. He played a key role in the FDA approval process for laser vision correction and performed the first LASIK procedure on Long Island in 1995.

Dr. Hatsis has extensive experience with advanced vision correction technologies, including phakic implant lenses, collagen cross-linking for keratoconus, and EVO Visian ICL surgery. He has authored numerous research articles and textbook chapters on LASIK and cataract surgery.

With over 20 years of clinical experience, Dr. Hatsis is dedicated to patient care, research, and teaching. He also participates in global outreach, traveling twice a year to Central and South America to provide cataract surgery for underserved communities.
