Dr. Alberto Aran

Dr. Alberto Aran is a board-certified ophthalmologist and the medical director of Aran Eye Associates and the Laser Center of Coral Gables. With extensive experience in cataract and corneal surgery, Dr. Aran has performed over 50,000 cataract procedures and was the first ophthalmic surgeon in Florida to use the FDA-approved Excimer Laser for vision correction. He specializes in the treatment of cataracts, corneal diseases, and refractive vision conditions, offering advanced surgical options including corneal transplant and LASIK.

Dr. Aran completed his fellowship in corneal and external disease at Tulane University School of Medicine, where he also completed his ophthalmology residency and internal medicine internship. Throughout his career, he has dedicated himself to advancing eye care through surgical innovation and training other physicians. He is recognized for his extensive volunteer work and has received multiple honors for his contributions to ophthalmology and the community.
