About Me
Dr. Alan Verm is a board-certified general ophthalmologist at Looking Glass Eye Center of Excellence. He provides comprehensive eye care for adults and children, including routine eye exams, glasses and contact lens fittings. Dr. Verm has special expertise in cataract and refractive surgery, as well as the management of corneal disease, glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, and dry eye.
A skilled surgeon, Dr. Verm has extensive experience with small incision cataract surgery and Acrysof Toric intraocular lens surgery. He also performs refractive surgery to reduce dependence on glasses. Dr. Verm completed advanced fellowship training in cornea, cataract, refractive and transplant surgery, allowing him to treat a wide range of anterior segment conditions.
Dr. Verm earned his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine and completed his ophthalmology residency at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, one of the nation's top training programs. He then pursued a cornea fellowship at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Verm is dedicated to using the latest technology and techniques to help preserve and restore his patients' vision.
